On July 12, 11 of us from the People Not Profit/Mosaic community left for 2 weeks in El Salvador, with 9 days spent in the village of El Sunza. We helped construct a home, facilitated a number of youth activities each day, including lots of futbol, and used photography and art to teach village youth to find and extract beauty from their surroundings. More than anything, we just enjoyed being a part of the life of El Sunza and all the learning that came with it.

Our friends at Progress Coffee funded Foto Voz (photo voice), a project that put cameras in the hands of village youth and provided them a means of expressing themselves through photography. Fotos will be displayed in a gallery at Progress in October and will be available for sale. Look for details at Progress and here on our website.
